Stegna is a small village next to the beach on the eastern side of the island and is located 30km far from Rhodes City, 35km from Diagoras airport and 3km far from Archangelos. The unspoiled Greek atmosphere makes it an ideal destination for relaxing holiday.
There are several taverns, many of which are located within a few meters from the beach and run by locals. The menus offer tasty and authentic Greek dishes at reasonable prices. Antonios Apartments are located at the beginning of Stegna village on the left side of the bay and 30m far from the beach.
All balconies face the seaside and you can enjoy the sunrise early in the morning.
The nearest minimarket is less than 50m away and there are some restaurants within a few meters. Free public parking is available nearby and there is a bus stop on the street in front of the apartments.
The beach in front of the apartments is sandy and pebbly and you can find sunbeds and umbrellas with extra charge. But there is plenty of space to sit and relax at no cost. In case you look for a rocky beach, you should go to the leftmost edge of the beach.
There are many activities for people who plan to visit Stegna. Visitors who love sea can go swimming, fishing and snorkeling. There are opportunities for water sports and boat rental. It is also possible to board the ships that go for a tour of beaches on the eastern side of the island. In addition, people can go paddling on the left side of Stegna bay.
If you prefer other activities, you can ride a bike or go hiking to the mountains nearby. In addition, you can go on foot to the other beaches close to Stegna.
The Koumelo Cave is also worth visiting, you rarely find out about that in tourist guides.
Stegna can be reached by taxi, bus or a hired car or motorbike. There is a taxi station at the exit of the airport and it will cost 50€ to drive you to Stegna. You can take the bus from Rhodes City centre to Stegna once every day except Sundays. You can find the bus schedule here.

Archangelos is the second biggest town of the island. It is 3km far from Stegna beach and 30km away from Rhodes City. There you can find big supermarkets, cafes, bars and restaurants. Local olive oil, vegetables, fruits, pottery and other local products are easy to find in Archangelos.
Archangelos has a small castle built around 1476 and an old church. You can also pay a visit to the Folk museum, which is full of traditional things.
